Dr. Laurence is experienced in restorative procedures, the restoration of dental implants, and crown and bridge procedures. He is a member of the National Dental Association, the American College of Epidemiology and a standing committee member for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. He is very experienced in ceramic implants and is also a member of the International Association of Ceramic Implantology.

Dr. Brian Laurence graduated from dental school in Washington, DC in 1994 and completed a General Practice Residency in Wilmington, Delaware in 1995. He then went on to receive a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2005. In addition to his over 20 years of clinical experience in private practice, Dr. Laurence is also a full professor and the Assistant Dean of Research at Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr. Laurence is a member of the International Academy of Ceramic Implantology (IAOC). Ceramic implants have revolutionized the field of dental implantology and perform as well as titanium and titanium alloy implants. Dr. Laurence recently returned from the 2017 IAOC meeting in Miami, Florida where the most current and advanced methodologies for metal-free ceramic implantology were presented. In addition to the obvious esthetic benefit, metal-free ceramic implants may be particularly suitable for patients who are immunocompromised or have chronic health conditions. Increasingly, patients are asking for metal-free options in implant dentistry and Dr. Laurence can provide those options.
