If keeping your natural tooth is no longer an option, a dental implant is the next best thing.
An implant acts as the natural root, supporting a crown, bridge or even dentures. Dental implants do more than restore your smile; they are an investment in your health, preventing bone loss, shifting teeth, gum disease, and more.
Dr. Pumphrey and Dr. Richman are proud to offer a dental implant experience rivaling the best in the nation. We offer both titanium and ceramic (zirconium) implants — two of the most biocompatible materials on the market — long-lasting results, and sedation dentistry options to ensure your comfort.
In most cases, we can perform your implant treatment in just one comfortable visit!
With a precise eye for aesthetics, our doctors ensure your implant looks and feels just like your natural teeth.
Compared to adhesive dentures, the All-on-4 system:
Implant-supported dentures are a state-of-the-art and highly-effective method for restoring missing teeth.
This treatment involves carefully placing up to 6 (and as few as 4) individual implants in your mouth. Dentures are then permanently attached to these implants, providing a rock-solid foundation and natural-looking results.
With implant-supported dentures from Atlanta Center for Advanced Periodontics, your new smile will look and function just like natural teeth — nobody will be the wiser!
A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in treating issues affecting the gums, bone and jaw of the mouth, including periodontal disease (gum disease) and placing implants. Periodontists complete 3 years of training beyond dental school and are uniquely qualified to help you achieve total oral health.
Traditional dentists can diagnose and treat a wide range of oral health issues, while periodontists specialize in placing dental implants and diagnosing, treating, and preventing gum disease.
Periodontal disease has four stages:
Gingivitis
Slight periodontal disease
Moderate periodontal disease
Advanced periodontal disease
Gingivitis is the only stage of periodontal disease that is reversible. However, with the help of a periodontist, you can slow down the disease and stabilize your health and smile.
