Crowns

If you have a tooth or teeth in an advanced stage of tooth decay, a dental crown may be your best treatment option. Like fillings, bridges, or implants, dental crowns restore strength, function and aesthetic to your teeth. A crown can be made from several materials and covers the remaining tooth structure. The material used depends on the area of your mouth being restored. We have the technology to make your crowns and veneers and some bridges right here in our office.

Same-Day Crowns

Most crown procedures require two appointments, but our office is proud to feature same-day crown services. Our goal is to help restore your smile quickly and efficiently. Using CEREC technology, we are able to produce single tooth restorations in one visit. This means you do not have to bother with temporary crowns, dental impressions, or the inconvenience of scheduling a second appointment. This system works by taking a digital picture of your tooth, which is then converted into a 3D image that is used as a design for your custom-made restoration.

Gum Disease Treatment

It is important to keep your gums in good health, as they provide the foundation for your teeth. Unhealthy gums can cause greater problems for not only your oral health, but your overall health. During your routine exams, we will examine your gums. To help keep your gums healthy, we will clean the pockets along the gum line. This helps prevent gum disease and gingivitis. If you are exhibiting signs of gum disease, we will discuss the available treatment options with you. Our goal is to restore your oral health.

Fixed Bridges

If you have lost teeth due to decay, injury or gum disease, a dental bridge can be utilized. Bridges are devices used to replace missing teeth and are attached to adjacent natural teeth. Bridges can be permanently attached or removable. They prevent your remaining teeth from shifting, which can result in pain and discomfort.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Our practice uses natural tooth-colored fillings or composite fillings to restore teeth after cavities have been removed. In addition, a filling helps prevent future decay by saving natural tooth structure. This is a more conservative restoration option than amalgam/silver fillings. This type of filling can also protect against broken teeth, improve tooth stability, color, and strength. The composite material is carefully matched to your tooth structure, and is virtually undetectable once it’s placed.

Dental Implants

Replacing missing teeth is crucial to your dental and overall health. Leaving gaps in your mouth can cause your remaining teeth to shift, which destabilizes your bite and can cause discomfort. When properly maintained, a dental implant is a great restoration option that can last a lifetime. A dental implant consists of titanium rods which are surgically placed into the bone beneath the gums. The rods then fuse to the jawbone and provide a stable foundation for a replacement crown, bridge, or dentures. The healing period usually lasts from three to six months to allow the metal posts to fuse with the jaw bone. These replacement teeth look, feel, and function like natural teeth. In order to be a good candidate for dental implants, you must have sufficient bone structure. Our office is the only provider of metal-free dental implants-Ceraroot and Z-Systems in Putnam County.
