Dr. David Partrite has been practicing fluoride-free, mercury-free dentistry for nearly his entire career. Even while still in dental school, he knew there had to be a better, more healthful way to do dentistry and sought additional training accordingly, including under the legendary Dr. Hal Huggins.Today, Dr. Partrite is SMART- certified in safe mercury amalgam removal. We always aim to use the least toxic, most biocompatible materials available when replacing mercury fillings or placing new restorations.

Safe Mercury Removal

It’s one thing to be mercury-free and never repair teeth with mercury amalgam. It’s quite another to be mercury-safe  to protect patients, ourselves, and the planet from any mercury amalgam that we handle in our Danville office. New Era Dentistry is both mercury-free and mercury-safe, taking special care to protect you, along with everyone else who comes into our office. Dr. Partrite is SMART-certified by the IAOMT, meaning he follows the most stringent standards that have been set.

Biomimetic Dentistry

There are no teeth better than your natural teeth, but sometimes, repair work is needed. Here at New Era Dentistry, we not only take a minimally-invasive approach to conserve as much natural tooth structure as possible; we take a biomimetic approach, as well.Taken literally, “biomimetic” means imitating life. So the goal in biomimetic dentistry is to restore damaged or diseased teeth in a way that returns them to their original look, strength, and function. In biomimetic dentistry, on the other hand, we aim to return the dental tissues to full function through a hard tissue bond, using stress-reduced direct composites (white fillings) or indirect composite or ceramic inlays or onlays. Not only does this allow us to save more natural tooth structure, but it allows pressure (functional stress) to pass through the tooth just as it would in a 100% natural tooth.

Cosmetic Dentistry

At New Era Dentistry in Danville, we use only biocompatible materials for all of the dental work we do, from smile whitening to bonding, from veneers to full crowns. We also make sure that the resulting bite is a balanced one, as an unbalanced bite can lead to postural changes and chronic bodily pain down the road. For this, Dr. Partrite has trained extensively at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute to better understand both the art and science of cosmetic dentistry and how the two must be balanced for optimal results.
