Dental Implants

The best dental implants Tampa has to offer! Getting dental implants is easier than you might think. You can now choose between All on Four Implants, Traditional Implants, or Zygomatic Implants.

Treatment is usually carried out in the office under local anesthetic or light sedation for optimal comfort. Often, a dental implant can be placed at the same time as tooth removal. A temporary crown can be attached so that the patient doesn’t have to leave the office with missing teeth.

The process is usually completed in two phases. In the first stage, the dental implant (a small titanium device shaped like a tooth root) is placed into the jaw bone. A period of time (usually 8 weeks is allowed) for the implant to attach to the bone, a process known as osseointegration.

The second phase takes place after osseointegration. A post that extends above the gumline is added, and a series of impressions and bite registrations are made. A replacement tooth (or crown) is custom made in the laboratory and attached to the post with cement or a tiny screw. A single tooth or a full set of teeth can be replaced using this technique

Q What are dental implants?

Unlike dentures, dental implants are permanent answers to tooth loss. Once they are fitted in the mouth, they’re there to stay. Dr. Jan Cornelius is, in many ways, an artist, restoring a beautiful ever present smile.

Q Why should I get dental implants?

Dental implants are “no brainers.” Essentially, they are just like real teeth. You brush them, floss them, flash them, show them off. There’s no glue or paste. Quite simply, implants are the answer.

Q What is the process for getting dental implants?

First of all, your mouth must be relatively healthy to support dental implants. Your gums and bone need to be in adequate shape to receive them. Then, the implants are inserted into the bone. Once the implants have healed, the new teeth are attached to them. The finished product is captivating, impressive. The patient is now ready to impress.

Q Is there any pain involved?

We’ve all heard the saying “no pain, no gain.” Of course, there may be a bit of discomfort involved in the process, but Dr. Cornelius knows how to control it.

Q What are the risks involved?

Like with any surgery there is a risk of infection. Other negative issues that may arise are nerve damage, injury to neighboring teeth, and sinus problems. Although these unfortunate consequences are possible, be aware, they are rare and can be easily remedied.

Q Why should I choose Dr. Cornelius over all the implant dentists in the area, in fact, in the country?

Dr. Cornelius has been practicing implant dental techniques for over 20 years. Studying implant dentistry at Harvard in the 90s, she is the one to perfect your image. She has the knowledge and the expertise to make bring you back to your natural state—the state you once possessed—a lovely individual with a smile that displays confidence. Dr. Cornelius has state of the art knowledge with a mixture of solid competence and natural ability to take you to the places you want to go.

RUN AWAY

1.0/ 5

Would give -5 stars if I could — Run, run, run if you see her name (if she’s still practicing somewhere). Patient focused? LOL … She’s insane, immoral and ridiculously incompetent. RUN!
