Dr. Nazir has over 30 years of experience as a dentist. After completing his dental studies abroad, he earned a Masters in Oral Surgery degree in London, from the one and only Eastman Dental Institute, finished the first part of an intensive fellowship certification from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, before he fell in love with this beautiful state, and studied another 2 1/2 years in the US to receive approval to practice dentistry in the states. After working as a dental associate and frustrated with the current systems of dental practice he had experienced, he envisioned a special practice with the highest standards, and in 2002 created what is today one of the finest dental practices in the state.
As one of the most experienced dentists in the Orange County area, Dr. Nazir and the rest of the Smile Magic team have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide you with the highest quality of care.
Getting a smile makeover is easier than you thought. Smile Magic provides a number of different cosmetic dental treatments to choose from. Most of our patients prefer to combine a variety of different aesthetic procedures to help them get the best overall results possible. Depending on what your smile has been through, you may want to consider options such as:
An implant is an artificial tooth “root” made of biocompatible materials. Most dentists use titanium, which is a metal commonly used in surgical procedures. At Smile Magic, we offer both titanium and metal-free zirconia implant designs that are made right here in California, by the world largest implant company, Nobel Biocare, where Dr. Nazir is an advisor. Zirconia is white, like your real teeth, so it’s also more aesthetic when visibility is a concern.
Benefits of Choosing Implants to Replace Missing Teeth
Compared to more traditional types of tooth replacement, implants offer:
Because implants are extremely strong, they can bear more weight than even the healthiest natural tooth.
Most patients feel no discomfort whatsoever during their treatment and feel surprisingly good afterwards.
You’ll receive just enough sedation so that you’ll be completely unaware of the treatment, as you would if you were asleep.
At the end of the treatment, you’ll have little or no memory of your dental visit.
You will feel just fine. For your safety, we do require that you have a family member or friend drive you home.
Before starting any treatment, we review your medical history, and we monitor you very closely while you’re under sedation.
It is a little blue pill. A sedative hypnotic pill called Triazolam that is in the same family as Valium. It is short acting, and half of it is used up by your body within 2 hours. It is the same medication that is prescribed hundreds of thousands of times a year by physicians as a very safe prescription sleeping aid. The drug enforcement administration has categorized it as a schedule IV substance, which means it is only one category higher than common aspirin. And, used for dental sedation there has never been a single case of a severe emergency using it in the dental office and there has never ever been a death using this medication in a dental office either. I emphasize, this medication is very, very safe. Again, this medication does not produce a deep sedation or general anesthesia.
