The foundation of sound dental care is routine cleaning and maintenance. The professional registered dental hygienists at Councill Dental Group will customize your cleaning based on your periodontal health. Ultrasonic scalers are sometimes used to make cleanings more comfortable and effective. We also employ special polishing pastes to remove stains and dental plaque, while at the same time polishing tooth surfaces to a beautiful shine. The result? A whiter, brighter, healthier smile!
Dr. Councill and Dr. Glass believe that preventative care is critical to maximizing dental health. Brushing and flossing are vital to the health and well-being of your mouth. However, maintaining good oral hygiene also requires check-ups and dental cleanings twice a year. Regular checkups/cleanings help prevent such dental problems as tooth decay and gum disease, as well as more serious diseases such as oral cancer. At Councill Dental Group we take a proactive approach to helping our patients keep their smiles healthy long-term. PreventativeTreatments:

Your smile is the window to your personality. Missing teeth or loose dentures can make many of us self-conscious and cause us to avoid social opportunities. It’s a common problem. In fact, almost 70 percent of the U.S. population has lost at least one tooth to decay, disease, or accident. More importantly, missing teeth may trigger: rapid bone loss, decreased oral function, premature aging due to jawbone shrinkage, shifting of adjacent teeth, and a decline in general health, as food is gummed instead of chewed
Dental implants replace missing teeth with natural looking prosthetics. Implants typically consist of three parts:
- Implant: A titanium post takes the place of a missing tooth root, bonding naturally to the jawbone.
- Abutment: A screw-like device inserted into the implant that holds the restoration in place.
- Restoration: This portion replaces the visible part of the tooth. A restoration may consist of a dental crown, a bridge, or a denture. The restoration will be custom-made to blend with your smile.
We use the The KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ system for the most effective teeth whitening. This system has been proven to be effective on all patients and with longer lasting results. KöR products are kept refrigerated from the time of manufacture until delivery to your dentist’s office reducing the degeneration of the chemicals from the heat of packing and shipping. This gives you whitening gels tha thave close to 100% of the effectiveness they had the day of manufacture.
