Dental Implants :

Dental implants are the preferred method of replacing missing teeth, for numerous reasons. Conventionally, options were limited to either a 3-unit bridge, involving two adjacent teeth or a removable partial denture. With recent technology, a biocompatible titanium screw (serving as the root) integrates with the jaw for permanent tooth replacement. The restorative doctor will fabricate a lifelike ceramic or porcelain restoration (crown) after the implant is healed and integrated. Dental implants treatment planning is versatile. Generally speaking, you don`t have to replace each tooth with one dental implant. Ask Dr. Ash during your visit about treatment options. Dr. Ash provides some of the most clinically successful dental implants, serving each patient as his own family.

Why choose dental implants for missing teeth?

  • Look, act and feel like a real tooth
  • Best tooth replacement option
  • Comparable cost to a 3-unit bridge
  • Osseointegration with bone

Common myths and misbeliefs about dental implants

  • X Dental Implants Don’t Look Like Your Natural Teeth.

Dental implants look completely natural. When restoring the crown, your restorative doctor will match the shade of the crown with your existing teeth, and expert lab technicians will fabricate the desired crown.

  • X They don’t need to be cleaned.

While dental implants are not prone to caries, but plaque needs to be cleaned around them as your gums can get inflamed like any other body organ with bacteria. With simple and proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime.

  • X Dental implant surgery is invasive and painful.

While dental implants do require oral surgery, modern techniques have made the procedure minimally-invasive. Most dental implant patients are placed under local anesthesia and nitrous sedation. It only takes about an hour to place a dental implant, and most patients have a full recovery within just a few days.
