Dr. Silvano Senn is a California native and he grew up with two overriding passions: one for art, and one for science. While others have felt compelled to choose one passion and sacrifice the other, the thousands of people who have benefitted from Dr. Senn’s caring, skilled, whole health dentistry can unanimously be grateful that he didn’t choose just one, but instead combined them.

Dr. Senn earned his BS from San Jose State University, followed by his DDS from the University of California (San Francisco) where he also completed a rigorous General Practice Residency. For more than 27 years, Dr. Senn has brought an innovative artistic and scientific vision to the field of general dental health. It is this brilliant vision – one that treats the whole patient and not just dental issues – that continues to successfully guide him today. In fact, a patient of Dr. Senn will benefit from his experience and licensing in naturopathic medicine, as a naturopathic medical doctor (NMD). This is incorporated into his environmentally-friendly, incredibly relaxing practice located in Sebastopol, where he has been serving patients since 2005. He is pleased to share that he is one of only a few Dentists approved to represent Premier Research Labs and their products.

Dr. Senn maintains membership in many professional associations. These include: International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), Redwood Empire Dental Society, and Mercury Free Dentists. He is also proud of his work and association in Public Health Dentistry. Along with his desire to contribute to patient health, Dr. Senn is also proud to be a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation, a nonprofit which operates around natural and proven elements of nutrition education.

Dental Implants

Effective dental care preserves and restores health and function. Dr. Silvano Senn and the Whole Health Dentistry team are committed to offering services that provide the patient with optimal oral health. Maintaining the integrity of natural oral structure is proven a preferred option in dentistry. Patients who have lost one or more teeth have multiple choices available to restore their function, as well as appearance. Only dental implants provide patients with the most effective solution to replace missing teeth. With an upfront initial investment, patients can experience outstanding benefits for many years with only normal oral maintenance required. When a patient loses a tooth, not only chewing surface is lost, but oral health is negatively affected as well. Implants are effective in treating both of these conditions. A tooth has a root structure, which provides stimulation to the bones in the jaw. When a tooth is missing, this is lost as well, and will ultimately cause bone loss. Further deterioration may occur in healthy teeth and dental health, and facial appearance may be affected over time.

mplants actually refer to a rod, which is placed into a patient’s jawbone via a minor surgical procedure performed in the dental office. They simulate the benefits provided by a tooth’s natural root structure. They also give the patient a stable and permanent foundation for crowns or dentures as a restored chewing surface and cosmetic restoration. Implants are the only tooth replacement option that provides bone stimulation benefits, making it the preferred choice for long-term health and satisfaction.

Choosing an oral health provider is important. A dentist should be considerate of the patient’s health and personal desires, and be able to suggest and deliver cost-effective solutions. Patients in and around Sebastopol, CA, are encouraged to make an appointment with Dr. Silvano Senn. We integrate compassion and experience into every dental procedure, with the goal of positively affecting overall patient health.
