Dental Implants

Dental implants can be an ideal solution to replacing damaged or missing teeth. They can restore not only the functionality of teeth but can provide a great new look as well. Dental implants are a standard cosmetic dental option offered at MMS Family Dentistry.

People tend to assume that the gap left behind after losing a permanent adult tooth can remain empty. The reality is that an exposed tooth socket faces the risk of infection, can cause teeth to shift out of alignment, and can cause other issues as well. With a dental implant, we can help patients avoid those oral health issues We have the tools and skills necessary to provide patients with a customized dental implant to meet their specific needs.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment involves removing the infected dental pulp of a tooth, cleaning the tooth and placing a filling to prevent further infection. Root canals are a service offered at MMS Family Dentistry.

While teeth can seem invincible pearly whites that break down food and help make a great smile, they have layers and can weaken over time. Without proper care, a tooth can sustain enough damage to expose the inner layer, known as the dental pulp. Infected dental pulp will cause varying levels of pain when eating, speaking or at any time of day. Fortunately, we can help.

Teeth Whitening

If you live in Austin or the local area, you can benefit from a teeth whitening procedure at our local dental office. At MMS Family Dentistry, we are known for improving the appearance of our patients’ smiles. We are a cosmetic dentist and has multiple ways for doing so. We often recommend a teeth bleaching procedure because it is by far the easiest way to transform your smile. After cleaning your teeth, we can complete this procedure in time for a special event or as part of your regular oral health routine.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are caps that restore the shape and size of teeth after they have been damaged, and offer protection from further damage. Dental crowns are a great option for restoring damaged teeth and are a standard procedure offered at MMS Family Dentistry.

When a tooth is damaged, there is always hope that it can heal on its own. Unfortunately, teeth do not heal or restore damaged enamel on their surface. However, we can help to protect and restore a tooth with a dental crown.

Dental crowns are a versatile treatment which can protect a weak tooth from infection, restore a damaged tooth, cover a dental implant, hold a dental bridge in place and provide a great, natural appearance.

Dental Veneers and Dental Laminates

A dental veneer is a porcelain shell that dental professionals can customize to enhance the size, shape and shade of a tooth. Dental veneers are a commonly offered dental restoration at MMS Family Dentistry.

If you have chipped, discolored or crooked teeth and want to change them, then dental veneers may be the solution you are looking for. Consisting of a thin porcelain shell, dental veneers can blend in with your surrounding teeth for a uniform appearance. While altering the size, shape and shade of your teeth, we can also prevent further damage to the surface of the tooth.

Far too often, people will try to avoid seeking professional dental treatment and live with damaged or crooked teeth. By avoiding treatment, people are only increasing the chance of pain or infection. A chipped tooth can risk exposing the inside of the tooth, causing pain when eating, drinking or biting down on something.
