What is the Dental Implant Process?

Step One: We will take a Planmeca Ultra low dose CBCT (dental cat scan) to evaluate the your bone in 3-D.

Step Two: Using the information from the CBCT and the X-Guide system, Dr. Yant will plan your surgery ahead of time to insure accuracy of placement. We can use these images to “guide” the implant placement during surgery. This is called “Image Guided Surgery”. Image guided surgery allows us to be more accurate and make smaller incisions. Smaller incisions mean less pain after surgery.

Step Three: The implant is surgically placed with our X-GUIDE system, often with minimal or no incision.

Step Four: After 6 weeks to 3 months when heeling and bone development around the implant is complete, we are able to fabricate your new teeth. One of the advantages of using the Straumann Implant is faster healing with reliability, security, and precision.

Pediatric Orthodontics

Early treatment for children is key to proper oral-facial development. That’s one of the reasons we encourage parents to bring children in for regular checkups. We can keep an eye on jaw and facial development and determine whether early intervention orthodontics with a palatal expander is necessary to restore balance. We can often correct a severe overbite at an early age, preventing years of future imbalance in facial growth. Children can also find relief from allergies and airway problems such as mouth breathing if jaws properly developed during growth.

Invisalign

Invisalign clear braces have dramatically changed the way adults can straighten their teeth. The clear, plastic aligners are virtually undetectable, smooth, and comfortable. They can be removed when your eating, brushing and flossing, or celebrating a special occasion.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are extremely thin pieces of porcelain which allow patients to cover their natural teeth with a new, whiter and less worn surface. Veneers are custom designed in a professional dental lab to exactly create the smile you always wished for, right down to shape and color. We simply prepare your teeth by removing some of your enamel, and bond the porcelain to the front of those prepared teeth to reveal a brand-new, beautiful smile.

Full Mouth Restoration

Sometimes life can be hard on our smiles. Teeth can crack from clenching and grinding, be lost to infection or accidents, shift because of bite problems, and generally cause all kinds of difficulty with eating and speaking. Every mouth we see has different dental health care needs. We can work with you to develop a comprehensive, personalized plan for full mouth restoration. Oftentimes, the course of treatment requires a variety of procedures from tooth bonding, CEREC one-visit restorations, and gum recontouring, to implants and orthodontic treatment. The end result is a refreshed smile and reestablished confidence.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Cavities occur following an erosion of enamel. The earlier they’re detected and treated, the better chance there is to preserve the natural tooth. Fillings do an excellent job of sealing cavities, stopping bacterial erosion, and ending enamel breakdown. We use tooth-colored composite fillings completed with a gentle, caring touch for long-lasting health and appearance.

Endodontics

Dental Health Group has a team of skilled, gentle doctors and the latest technology to help ease the anxiety sometimes associated with root canal therapy. Our endodontic treatments are not only incredibly comfortable and accurate, they are designed to help end bothersome pain and save your natural tooth.

Take added comfort in knowing we perform almost all necessary root canals in-house, so you’ll be under the care of the team you know and trust. We use a cone-beam CT to aide in diagnosing root canal infections and to more accurately complete root canals. With the help of 3D CT scans and magnification, we can efficiently and effectively fill and seal infected root canals precisely, topping them with a custom-made crown.

Q Why Should I Consider Dental Implants?

Dental implants are a great solution for anyone who is missing one or even all of their teeth. They can replace teeth without having any effect on or causing damage to the surrounding teeth.

Q How Can Botox Help Me?

This powerful muscle relaxer begins to work immediately reducing soreness, contractions, and overall pain for up to six months after your procedure.

Q What are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a small titanium or zirconia post surgically placed into the jawbone to act as a tooth root substitute. The dental implant will fuse to your jawbone, making the implant stable and secure, as if nature had placed it there. We choose to use Straumann implants for reliability, security, and precision.
